In March 2003 the Denver area got dumped on. We got so much snow in a very little amount of time. For two days schools, businesses, and restaurants closed down. It was somewhat of a headache to get out of it, but looking back now it was a great time because we had no choice but to stay in with the family. Julia was without power at her house so she made the wise decision to stay at our home. We did have a nice crew to assist in the snow movement, but it was bummer. For the first time in four years I was looking forward to watching the NCAA Tournament on TV. Once again that was put on hold to shovel snow. Nate and Tom took serious advantage of the Clarkson Park hill and made a nice jump. I guess Dad nearly froze to death standing around watching and taking pictures. Julia and I made it to her house and spent much of the afternoon digging them out. They were without power for most of the week until Mr. Wolfe climbed up the pole and flipped the switch. Later that night after shoveling we all had a nice dinner at Buca de Beppo. Needless to say school was cancelled so my Spring Break was nearly two weeks. Two weeks buried in the snow!!!
